CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE OF BALE

As far as packaging is concerned, the most reliable way is to use hay bale for the same. Bales are generally used to store and protect agricultural yields for a considerably long time. If you look around in the market, there are different sizes of packing that come in different shapes. Pickings can be arranged according to your requirement; boxes, plastic packets and bales in several weight measurements.

Whenever choosing a bale, not only its size matters, but also the weight it can bear. The weight of a typical small square bale depends on the type of forage and the moisture content which is 15% to 18% in most of the cases. However more than this can spoil your product as it leads to growth of fungus or a sudden combustion.
Since bales come in different sizes, but smaller boxes and packets have proven to be the most effective among all. They have capability to hold the material together better and they even gets dried up quicker when left in open air. These are also easy to lift thereby making few tasks effortless. Most common size of small packets comes in 20lbs – 25 lbs. This size of packing is considered to be a safe side as it is easy to handle. Apart from this appropriate sizes of packing reduces the chance of back injury.
Macho bales that generally range from 1000lbs – 1200lbs. A standard square bale is by and large, 4 feet long, 2 feet wide and 2 feet tall. The reason that square bales are most frequently preferred is their shape that makes them extensively easy to store and mound. In order to protect and store the bale for a considerably long period of time, square bales are the absolute solution for bulk storage.
